Blk 8 Boon Keng
This renovation at Blk 8 Boon Keng brings a warm, considered palette of grey, walnut and brass to a high-rise HDB home, with a striking desert-print bedroom and a games-ready balcony.
A Kitchen Island Dining Setting
A tiered brass chandelier hangs over a marble-topped kitchen island doubling as a dining table, framed by sheer floor-to-ceiling curtains and a grey TV feature wall.
A Reading Corner with Design Classics
An Eames lounge chair and ottoman anchor a quiet reading corner, paired with an arc floor lamp and a slim console styled with framed art.
A Grey-and-Walnut Kitchen
Matte grey cabinetry is broken up by a walnut-toned upper cabinet insert, with the same brass chandelier extending the dining area’s lighting into the kitchen.
A Marble Waterfall Island
A marble waterfall-edge island holds the kitchen’s sink and workspace, finished with matte black tapware and a built-in coffee station.
A Considered Kitchen Corner
Open counter space and a sage green stool make this corner of the kitchen a flexible spot for quick meals or homework.
A Built-In Laundry Nook
A stacked washer and dryer are built into warm timber cabinetry, keeping the utility area tidy and out of sight from the main kitchen.
A Desert-Print Headboard Wall
An illustrated desert mural wraps the headboard wall, paired with soft pink and grey bedding and a sculptural black wall sconce.
A Warm, Textured Bedroom
Timber wardrobes and venetian blinds continue the bedroom’s warm palette, with a floating nightstand tucked beside the statement wallpaper.
A Moody Home Office
Matte black cabinetry and striped blinds set a focused tone in the home office, personalised with a displayed pair of samurai swords.
A Dark Stone Ensuite
Charcoal stone tiling wraps the ensuite bathroom, paired with a timber vanity, wall-mounted tapware and a frameless glass shower.
A Wardrobe Corridor for the Family Cat
Light oak wardrobe panelling lines a corridor styled with a sling chair and patterned rug — complete with a woven basket for the household cat.
A Second Stone-Clad Bathroom
A rainfall shower and wall-hung toilet sit within grey stone tiling, softened by a built-in timber cabinet and potted greenery.
A Balcony Games Corner
Open shelving stocked with board games and a plush white bench turn the balcony into a relaxed hangout spot, with sweeping skyline views beyond.
