Blk 951 Hougang
This renovation at Blk 951 Hougang brings an industrial, loft-like character to an HDB home, with raw concrete walls, a scripture feature door and even a home climbing wall.
An Industrial Concrete Bedroom Wall
Raw concrete plaster wraps the headboard wall, flanked by exposed black conduit pipes ending in cage pendant lights.
A Bedroom with Character
A large monstera plant and a woven basket soften the bedroom’s industrial concrete wall, framed by a black ceiling fan.
A Frosted Glass Wardrobe
Dark timber wardrobe doors are paired with a frosted glass panel, adding texture without losing light.
A Glimpse Into the Dressing Room
A sliver of open wardrobe door reveals a small dressing corner, styled with a tolix chair and a designer handbag.
A Sculptural Entryway Cabinet
A matte black shoe cabinet with circular pulls sits beneath a brass-framed mirror, paired with a knit floor pouf.
A Scripture Feature Door
A verse from Galatians is carved into a warm timber sliding door, opening onto the kitchen’s concrete-walled counter.
A Personal Kitchen Shelf
A hanging black shelving unit displays a vintage rocking horse, trailing greenery and a bottle of Yamazaki whisky.
A Sleek Black Kitchen Island
A full-length black island with a marble counter anchors the kitchen, paired with leather-topped bar stools.
A Framed Art Coffee Corner
A geometric print and a red espresso machine bring colour to this corner of the kitchen, styled with trailing plants.
A Considered Cooking Counter
Fresh lemons and a chopping board sit ready on the black stone counter, beside a sleek built-in cooktop.
A Herringbone TV Console
A herringbone-patterned timber console anchors the living room, styled with a vintage-style clock and a tripod spotlight lamp.
A Home Climbing Wall
A bouldering hold and resistance bands turn this corner into a compact home gym, lit by natural light from louvred windows.
A Cage Pendant Dining Setting
Timber-and-brass cage pendants hang over the dining table, with the scripture door and kitchen visible just beyond.
A Closer Look at the Scripture Door
Every letter of the Galatians verse is individually cut into the timber-look door, backlit by a warm cove light above.
An Open-Plan Living Space
A black leather sofa faces the TV console, with the scripture door, entryway and dining area all visible in one continuous view.
A Warm Pendant Over the Dining Table
A single dome pendant with a brass cage hangs low over the dining table, styled simply with a potted plant and a copper mug.
A Concrete-Walled Bathroom
Raw concrete plaster continues into the bathroom, paired with a round hanging mirror, dark timber vanity and a black-fitted rain shower.
